Pug puppy mental stimulation leads to a happy pug! Let’s face it, we all know owning pug puppies can sometimes be an especially overwhelming experience, what with furniture chewing, outbursts and getting up to mischief.
The solution is to minimizing mischief is to stimulate your dog’s mind. On top of regular exercise and playtime with your pug puppy, toys are a great way to keep your puppy active and happy! All pugs love toys, from puppies to seniors: they love to play. If you really want to tire your pug out, you should get them thinking. There are many types of mentally stimulating dog toys out there, we’re going to talk about one of our favorites: the snuffle mat.
A snuffle mat really stimulates a pug’s senses and brain to find the hidden treats! This fun game for a pug puppy really gets the brain into overdrive and fatigues the puppy fast! The snuffle mat can also be a great way to feed your pug meals, as the searching for food will slow down your pug puppy. If your puppy has a problem vomiting from eating too fast, the snuffle mat is the perfect solution!
Our pug Petal loves her snuffle mat! She has always had a perfect 100% record of finding all of the kibble in her mat. After your pug has stopped looking for the treats, pick the snuffle mat up and give it a shake. Does your pug have the perfect record? Being a pug, it probably does have a perfect record.
